BIRTH GRANT
1. Legal basis:
a) Article 29, Law no 7703, date 11.05.1993 “On Social Insurance in the Republic of Albania”, amended.
2. Documentation:
a) Child birth certificate;
b) Contributions Booklet;
c) Proof of work history and contributions paid.
3. Eligibility conditions:
a) Compensation paid for child birth to the insured person who is the mother or father of the born child, provided that each of them has contributed up to a year prior to child delivery;
b) Compensation is payable only to one and the mother shall have priority in obtaining this benefit, if insured.
4. Benefit amount:
a) Compensation for each child born will be 50% of the minimum monthly wage approved by the Council of Ministers at the time of entitlement.
DEATH GRANT
- Legal basis:
a) Article 42, Law no 7703, dated 11.05.1993 “On Social Insurance in the Republic of Albania”, amended.2. Eligibility conditions:
Death grant shall be granted to:
a) An insured person or pensioner in case of death of a family member under his/her dependence;
b) A person who used to take care of the insured deceased and paid funeral expenses.3. Documentation:
a) Death certificate;
b) Funeral certificate;
c) Pension booklet.4. Benefit amount:
a) For pensioners receiving a state pension, a minimum basic state pension amount at the time of entitlement is paid;
b) For pensioners receiving a rural pension, a minimum basic rural pension amount at the time of entitlement is paid.
FUNERAL EXPENSES
1. Legal basis:
a) Article 42, Law no 7703, date 11.05.1993 “On Social Insurance in the Republic of Albania”, amended.
2. Documentation:
a) Death certificate;
b) Funeral certificate;
c) Pension booklet.
3. Eligibility conditions:
Funeral expenses shall be reimbursed for:
a) An insured person or pensioner in case of death of a family member under his/her dependency;
b) A person who used to take care of the insured deceased and paid funeral expenses.
4. Benefit amount:
a) For pensioners receiving a state pension, a minimum basic state pension at the time of entitlement, approved by DCM, shall be paid;
b) For pensioners receiving a rural pension, a minimum basic rural pension at the time of entitlement, approved by DCM, shall be paid.
